Based on recent statistics, the population of centenarians in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the number of male individuals reaching 100 has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. During the same years, the number of female centenarians almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to listen to individuals who have reached 100, their family or companions, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s transformative changes and changes.
