Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A helicopter soaring above a popular southern California coastline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally descending rapidly and smashing into a row of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Footage uploaded on the internet depict the chopper starting to spin over the beach then falling near the border of the coast, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the accident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the road were injured. Details on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
Planned Function
Officials mentioned the aircraft was associated with an annual “Cars N Copters” fundraising event scheduled for the next day.
