{'I could have killed them' - Lawson encounters dangerous incident with Formula 1 marshals
Formula 1 competitor Liam Lawson stated he came dangerously close to a life-threatening accident during Sunday's Mexican Grand Prix when two marshals darted across the track directly in front of him
The concerning event occurred on the third rotation when marshals were spotted on the track as Lawson was getting back on the race following an quick visit to the pits to swap his compromised front wing

Moments later, the team's competitor Lawson radioed to his pit wall engineer saying: "You've got to be joking? Could you believe what happened? I could have... killed them"
"I honestly couldn't believe what I was witnessing"
"I exited on a brand new hard tyres, and then I approached Turn One and suddenly there were two individuals dashing across the track"

Formula 1's governing body, the International Automobile Federation (FIA), is actively examining the events
"Subsequent to a first corner event, track officials was informed that fragments were located on the track at the turning point of that curve" declared the governing body
"In the third rotation, track officials were alerted and made ready to access the circuit and recover the debris once the entire field had cleared the area"
