Labuschagne Dropped from Australia's ODI Squad to Face Team India
The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from Australia's three-game ODI series against India, as in-form Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw receiving a surprise call-up.
Recent Form Lead to Exclusion
The right-hander was left out from the ODI side after scoring just one run in each of his two innings during the recent series against South Africa in August. The right-hander has a best innings of forty-seven in his previous ten ODI innings.
The batsman has played 68 ODIs and accumulated 1,871 runs at an batting average of 34.64 runs per dismissal, but will now focus on earning a Test recall in time for the Ashes starting in Perth on November 21.

“The bulk of the T20 squad will stay as a group as it’s an crucial phase in the preparation for the T20 World Cup next year, however we are trying to strike a balance to ensure we simultaneously get ready certain individuals for the Test series ahead.”
Australia’s three-game ODI series against India starts on October 19 in Perth, before the opponents play five T20 internationals from 29 October.
